[eng] I'm back from a long relaxed Easter break. I should do that more often. I have a bucket full of new ideas. Anyway, here's an outfit I wanted to share with you today. When dear friend J. and I where shopping at Topshop, Oxfort Circus London, we bumped into this beautiful piece of fabric (referring to the jacket) and both decided this was going to be the next best thing in our closet. Friend J. got her 10% student discount at the cash register. I -at the other hand- am not a student anymore for almost one decade. But I sure wanted to have that discount. So I showed the lady behind the till my OV card (which is our Dutch transportation card) and she fell for it. Fortune favours the bold, right ;-) Sometimes you just have to play it smart. Ze trapte er keihard in. photo credit | jake armstrong THIS might take some of you by surprise (judging by my countless diamond rings and golden medallions I wear each day) but I am not a millionaire. Shocking I know, but I am in fact an extremely average 21 year old student that unfortunately has an irrational obsession with shoes of the designer nature. Growing up I've always been taught to the idea that if I can't afford it, I can't have it, so for me adding a pair of shoes to a credit card (that I refuse to have) or spending the equivalent of three months rent on anything other than necessities (read: burgers) is a big no-no. So let's all address the elephant in the room here. These shoes? 110% not Stella McCartney, no matter how much I'd like to think they are. I toyed with the idea once upon a time, but no matter how much I love a pair of shoes I can't ever justify spending that much on something that simply stops my feet getting dirty. Because that's all they are, right? Apart from turning me into an instant goddess that one time I tried the Lugs on in Libertys (or so I'd like to think) the knock-offs are doing almost everything the real-deal shoes did for me. I'm probably losing some serious blogger points for this, but there we go. Anyway, regardless of whether you own one thousand or one single pair of shoes, I'm curious to know what you think about the faux/fo' real fashion debate. Leave your opinions in the comments below. And before you ask, yes I did spill something all over this outfit. This outfit of Jil Sander is one of our absolute spring darlings. A walking palette of nature: blue skies all around with a pretty little heart of sunshine. And oh so comfi, we could live in those trousers forever. xoxo Eloïsa and Jimilla, Marie Claire’s fashion assistants Want to know how to create this look yourself (a bit more affordable)? [eng] I hope you've all survided the Easter weekend. I did. Partly. The combination of Easter eggs and birthday cake was a bit much too handle (today nothing but soup for me) and admittedly I'm still a bit in denial, but I survived. Today I'm officialy 30 years and 1 day. Do I feel different? Not a bit. 'Age is just a number' my friend D. told me over the phone. And she's absolutely right. The present of my beloved hub helped soothe the pain totally, although I'm a bit embarrassed to speak it out loud. Let's put it this way: I'm one blessed lucky lady. The present that really made me cry wasn't the expensive necklace though, but a painting my mother made for me on which she was working for months: The view from my parents living room, looking out over the beautiful 'Drentse' fields. "So", my mother said, "Now you can take home with you wherever you go". Like I said, I'm one lucky lady. Voel ik me anders. I'm one lucky lady. KETTING | Cartier CARD | Oh no Rachio

Addison is a label that seems to be everywhere right now - from We Wore What (who has her own collection for the brand out now!) to our very own Cocochic. Think simple, downtown basics with an edge. We love.
Our creators just LOVE leather, have you noticed? But sadly with the summer weather on it's way (not that we're complaining) sporting h-t leather is something that can end in a sticky situation - literally. Our answer to this fashion mystery? Go short. Short shorts. Problem solved.
Okay, so we know these ladies aren't technically wearing pastels, but what they are rocking are some seriously wonderful looks for this time of year. Tip: personify the sugared almond look, but inside of round edges, think neatly cut lines and a sharp silhouette (colour is a big deal to us.. one step at a time). Take particular note of the olive green colour contrasted with the pink backdrop, play around with it, have fun and Happy Easter!
photo credit | personal IT terrifies me to think that we're already over a third of the way through 2014. I mean, really? The only plus side about time passing so quickly is having the Love Me Beauty box come through my door every month. Oh I know how to live. April's box - just like all of the other boxes I've been sent - doesn't disappoint. I've been working on a little self/life makeover lately (when do I not say that?) so the fact that this box is full to the brim with hair care and oils makes me a very happy girl. I decided to choose Menu 3 which included a full-sized cleansing shampoo by Neal & Wolf (also known as the nicest smelling stuff ever), a full-sized moisturising oil and a nail polish in peachy orange shade. Say goodbye to the nude nails my friends, things are about to get wild. Double denim and clearly in the mood for monochromatic blue. I don't know if you can tell but the sweater i'm am wearing is also blue, navy blue in fact but for some reason it came out looking really dark in the pictures. I love wearing this Acne sweater during the Spring, it has a lot of padding and so it keeps me really warm, so much so, I don't have to wear a coat or jacket. Whenever I am shooting inside, our doggies always love to get involved, usually I shoo them away but this time I let them in on it. SOMETIMES pretty can be boring and all we really want to look at is some stylish girls in leather and eyeliner. Check out five of our favourite edgy style blogs right now - who said fashion has to be girly?
No, no, no. No animal prints for this missy. I may be wild from the inside, but showing some wildness on the outside always seemed too much for me. But messing with the good girl image can prove valuable lessons. So I learned when I got the chance to borrow clothes for this shoot from our fashion cabinet. I challenged myself to get out of my sweater comfort zone and this is the result. I think I look pretty wow, with a little r in the middle, don’t you think? Am curious if you dare to W(r)OW yourself this season. Remember those grey days I mentioned? Yep this was one of them! When meeting up with a friend, i'm always conflicted between wanting to dress pretty and needing to remain comfy, as I know i'm going to be sat down for while, as once we get chatting, that's it, the world doesn't exist for the next three hours. So, this time I settled with simple and relatively comfy wardrobe staples, which seemed to reflect well on the grey day that it was. But thankfully I had my yellow snake print clutch/bag from Warehouse to brighten up my day. There is nothing wrong with adding a touch of colour.
